}\pard \qj\fi-2160\li2160 {\b\f20 (1)\tab }{\b\f20\ul PROPOSED BOND ELECTION}{\f20 - William Waechter discussed the needs of the District as they relate to a possible bond election and noted that the purpose of the retreat was information sharing.
Lionel Diaz provided a summary of the 1994 Capital Development Program including a summary by college, by description, relationship between college gross square footage and full-time student equivalent, by region and location.
In response to a question, Educational and Occupational Equipment includes some technology costs. The number of students at the Maricopa Skill Center and potential need for a second skill center at another location were discussed. Other issues r
aised included inflationary factors, rate of growth, projections, portable buildings, new construction, phases of construction, Williams Air Force Base development, broadcast facilities at Rio Salado Community College, bond sales, tax levies, and im
pact on major taxpayers.\par

}\pard \qj\fi-2160\li2160 {\f20 \tab Roy C. Amrein requested additional justification for potential new construction/purchase for Rio Salado Community College. Nancy Stein requested additional information relating to a possible bond election
and the proposed FY 1994-95 budget. Donald R. Campbell suggested identification of major streets on future literature relating to facility location and M. Grant Christensen suggested an outline of Maricopa County be utilized
as a background for this information. It was noted that the information provided at this meeting will be continuously revised and updated during the bond planning process.\par

\tab Dan Whittemore reported on proposed G.O. Bond payoff alternatives and issuance program. The bond election process was explained. The impact of rate fluctuations, potential growth
in the county, and home values were discussed. Linda B. Rosenthal noted that a successful bond program will create jobs within the county. William Waechter expressed appreciation for the input of those present at the meeting.\par
