Online Copyright Tutorial

Welcome to the Maricopa Community Colleges Office of General Counsel online tutorial on copyright law. This is an introductory level instruction on the basics of copyright law. By the time you complete the tutorial, you will have a good understanding of many copyright law fundamentals. You will also know of other resources where you can turn for answers to more complex copyright law questions.

This tutorial is based principally on information contained in Copyright Guidelines for the Maricopa Community Colleges. You are encouraged to refer to that valuable resource any time you have questions on the use of copyrighted materials. Also, while the tutorial is intended to serve as a brief instruction on copyright for beginners, it is not intended to be a substitute for legal advice.
