Classroom Accommodations for Students with Disabilities

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) and its associated colleges are committed to providing equitable access to learning opportunities to students with documented disabilities (e.g. physical, sensory, neurological, chronic illness, mental health, learning disabilities, or other health concerns). If you require accommodations for this course, please contact Disability Resources and Services (DRS) at your college.  Contact with DRS should be made as soon as possible to ensure academic needs are met in a reasonable time. II. EO/Title IX Syllabus Statement

Addressing Incidents of Title IX Sexual Harassment

The Maricopa County Community College District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability or age in its programs or activities. Information on MCCCD’s discrimination complaint procedures are located here

The policy of MCCCD is to provide an educational, employment, and business environment free of sexual violence, unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct or communications constituting sexual harassment as prohibited by state and federal law. Incidents of Sexual Misconduct should be reported to the Title IX/Deputy Title IX Coordinator. MCCCD will provide on its Title IX Policy and Resources additional information. Reports may be filed anonymously here. Discrimination against pregnant and parenting students is also prohibited under Title IX. These statements cannot be modified—this includes no modifications of the statement title—and they must be placed in at least one of the following places:

  1. The course syllabus (either in its entirety or as a link to a landing page created by MCCCD compliance), or
  2. As an announcement in the Canvas classroom, or
  3. On any other mandatory course material.
