Distance Learning (AR 2.9)
Recent reviews of college catalogs by the State Approving Agency (SAA), the branch of the Arizona Department of Veterans Services tasked with approving programs of education for GI Bill benefits, have indicated a need for language addressing how Distance Learning courses are offered.

2016-2017 Credit for Prior Learning Exam Scores and Equivalents (AR 2.2.4)
Direct approval by the Chancellor on May 16, 2016. Exam equivalencies and scores are updated annually.

Credit for Prior Learning, Section 3-Articulated Transfer Credit (AR 2.2.4)
Direct approval by the Chancellor on January 4, 2017, in order to begin immediate implementation during the 2016-17 Academic Calendar Year.  Modified to allow Maricopa colleges to evaluate coursework and intake transfer credit from any institution included in the current Directory of Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)-Recognized Organizations, which Is published by the American Council on Education (ACE), and/or the U.S. Department of Education's Database of Accredited Programs and Institutions.  2016-2017 Red Line Word - Please refer to page 22  for the red line amendments made for 2.2.4  Credit for Prior Learning.

Eligibility for Accommodations & Required Disability Documentation (AR 2.8.1)
Direct approval by the Chancellor on January 4, 2017, in order to begin immediate implementation during the 2016-17 Academic Calendar Year. An update to the administrative regulation was made due to references to obsolete eligibility requirements.  2016-2017 Red Line Word - Please refer to page 81 for the redline amendments made for 2.8.1 Eligibility for Accommodations & Required Disability Documentation.

Distribution of Course Syllabus (AR 3.6)
Direct approval by the Chancellor on January 4, 2017, in order to begin immediate implementation during the 2016-17 Academic Calendar Year. The change to the administrative regulation was made to meet HLC/federal compliance. 

Student Conduct Code (AR 2.5.2)
Amended by Direct Approval by the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost on January 31, 2017 to extend the retention timeframe for student conduct records from 5 years to 7 years.   Required period of retention for Clery-based crimes/incidents is 7 years.   2016-2017 Red Line Word - Please refer to page 90 for the redline amendments made under section Article IV: Student Conduct Code Procedures - Sanctions.
