Admission Policy (AR 2.2.1)
Amended in order to be in compliance with Arizona Senate Bill 1048, signed by the Governor on April 22, 2019 (AMENDED by Direct Approval by the Chancellor, June 4, 2019)

Admission Information (AR 2.2.2)
Amended to address requirements for admissions and residency for tuition purposes. During the previous Catalog Common Pages review cycle, it was determined that Arizona statute no longer requires 50 day residency in Maricopa County for persons who are already residents of the state and the definitions of County and Out-Of-County Resident require updating. Upon approval, all web references will be updated to conform to the newly adopted language (AMENDED through the Administrative Regulation approval process, November 5, 2019). 

Other Admission Information (AR 2.2.3)
An amendment to 2.2.3 regulation memorializes MCCCD’s compliance with 34 CFR 668.14(a) (22)(i) in accordance with a recent audit. The proposed change prohibits high pressure recruitment tactics targeting veterans and offering incentives based on securing veteran enrollments or financial aid awards (AMENDED through the Administrative Regulation approval process, October 23, 2019). 

Transfer Credit and Prior Learning Assessment Policies (AR 2.2.4)
An amendment to 2.2.4 was made to articulate the District’s commitment to, and standardization of processes and procedures for, the assessment and recognition of various forms of prior learning as well as changes submitted to CCTA through the work of the statewide Articulation Task Forces and other entities (AMENDED through the Administrative Regulation approval process, November 5, 2019).

Academic Advising and New Student Orientation (AR 2.2.6)
The Maricopa County Community College District’s is beginning a redesign of developmental education in the light of compelling national research and their own data.  The first step in the District’s redesign is the creation of multiple placement options for students. These options are alternatives to our traditional placement test and therefore necessitate these Common Pages changes.(AMENDED through the Administrative Regulation approval process, June 4, 2019).   Student success courses are eligible for Financial Aid and Veterans benefits, an amendment was made to this regulation (AMENDED by Direct Approval of the Chancellor, April 16, 2020).

Student Assessment and Course Placement (AR 2.2.7 - 2020 Pandemic Response Revised Student Assessment and Placement)
Changes to the Placement Chart have been implemented across the Colleges to support student registration during COVID-19 response. The update to admin regulation 2.2.7 was necessary to align with these changes and communicate with students. (ADOPTED by Direct Approval of the Chancellor, April 16, 2020)

Refund Policy (AR 2.2.10 Refund Policy - 2020 Pandemic Response Refund Exceptions)
Student Account Credit policy for courses taken during Pandemic Response was approved (ADOPTED by Direct Approval of the Chancellor, April 7, 2020). 

University Transfer (AR 2.2.13)
The Maricopa Community Colleges are committed to expanding access to learning through the removal of barriers and the development of pathways that support continued learning. The district supports the meaningful assessment and recognition of relevant prior learning. It is recommended to separate out the University Transfer portion from Transfer Credit and Prior Learning Assessment for the following reasons: Transfer Credit and PLA outlines the intake of credit process where as University Transfer address the transfer of credit; University Transfer is buried under the 2.2.4, which is about Admissions into the colleges; University Transfer highlights statewide practices whereas 2.2.4 outlines Maricopa’s practice.(ADOPTED through the Administrative Regulation approval process, June 4, 2019).

Scholastic Standards - Attendance (AR 2.3.2.2)
An amendment was made to a section titled Religious Holidays and aligns with the Religious Accommodation Procedure found in ND-4 (AMENDED through the Administrative Regulation approval process, November 5, 2019).

Grading (AR 2.3.3 2020 Pandemic Response Revised Grading Policy)
MCCCD temporarily adjusted grading policy in response to the COVID-19 pandemic response (AMENDED by Direct Approval of the Chancellor, April 8, 2020). 

FERPA - Student Records (AR 2.5.3)
An amendment was made to the Administrative Regulation 2.5.3 Student Records.  Student Records needed some adjustments based on the push to provide accurate and appropriate information to students and to employees about how and when personally identifiable information from the educational record will be released and to provide forms and procedures for such disclosures (AMENDED through the Administrative Regulation approval process, June 4, 2019).

**Distribution of Course Syllabus (AR 3.6)
An amendment was made to add additional language to Administrative Regulation 3.6 Distribution of Course Syllabus. The purpose of this additional language is to outline the new DRS and Title IX syllabus statements and laying out the placement options for said statements. Please note this regulation does not presently appear in the Common Pages document but does appear in the INSTRUCTION section of the Administrative Regulations (AMENDED through the Administrative Regulation approval process, June 4, 2019). 

**Domesticated Animals on Campus (AR 3.9)
An amendment was made to regulation to provide guidance to the MCCCD campus community regarding domesticated animals and when they are allowed on campus. Generally not permitted on campus, animals are allowed under specific circumstances. These circumstances are outlined in this administrative regulation. Please note this regulation does not presently appear in the Common Pages document but does appear in the INSTRUCTION section of the Administrative Regulations (AMENDED through the Administrative Regulation approval process, November 5, 2019).

An amendment was made to add the word pregnancy (AMENDED by Direct Approval of the Chancellor, April 8, 2020). 

**Guidelines for Service Animals on Campus (I-2)
An amendment was made to provide guidance to the MCCCD campus community regarding domesticated animals and when they are allowed on campus. Generally not permitted on campus, animals are allowed under specific circumstances. These circumstances are outlined in the Guidelines. Please note this appendix item does not presently appear in the Common Pages document but does appear in the APPENDIX section of the Administrative Regulations. Serves as a supplement to Administrative Regulation 3.9 Domesticated Animals on Campus (AMENDED through the Administrative Regulation approval process, November 5, 2019).

**Visa Chart (S-1A)
Language for the I-485 was added for clarification. Adoption of Visa Chart as an Appendix item S-1A. Please note this appendix item does not presently appear in the Common Pages document but does appear in the APPENDIX section of the Administrative Regulations (ADOPTED through the Administrative Regulation approval process, November 5, 2019).  

Student Financial Assistance (S-5)
The appendix is being updated in order to comply with the law and also to outline the new Satisfactory Academic Progress Warning Period. These revisions will place MCCCD back into compliance with Federal law with respect to SAP GPA being at least as strict as the Academic GPA and will outline the financial aid funded SAP warning period (AMENDED by Direct Approval by the Chancellor, May 5, 2020).  Technical change made to the approved SAP policy revision. Legal confirmed that there is no X grade, so the X grade was removed from the policy revision (TECHNICAL CHANGE by Legal Department on May 6, 2020).

**Religious Accommodation Procedure and Request Form (ND-4)
A procedure for employees and students to request religious accommodations has been approved to assist in providing a system‐wide approach to requesting, reviewing, and granting religious accommodations. Appendix ND-4 is a new appendix item. Please note this appendix item does not presently appear in the Common Pages document but does appear in the APPENDIX section of the Administrative Regulations. Serves as a supplement to Administrative Regulation 5.1.1 Maricopa EEO Policy (ADOPTED through the Administrative Regulation approval process, June 4, 2019).
